Changes look as if they come practically every day. Motor skills are honed and intensified now. The baby is able to raise his or her head and even the chest to some extent when lying on the stomach. What is common is the opening and closing of the fists as they obtain control over finger and arm muscles. The primary signs of pushing down with the feet to prop up the legs can be observed At this time of life the visual system is sharpening significantly. Not later than three months they can observe a face with concentration and follow moving objects purposely. The early stages of recognizing people and bits and pieces become clarified. Hand-eye skill is obvious. Social skills begin about now. Smiling, delight in the company of others and related behaviors begin. Imitation of the conduct of others shows its first stirrings. In the course of the Second Trimester Not later than the end of 6-7 months, those early groupings are ramping up. The baby can sit with no support of the hands. He or she may be capable to prop up her full weight on the legs, possibly with a little help from a close table or chair. In the course of this time, they have achieved adequate muscle control to reach for and grab minute objects. Complete color vision is now probable. The ability to make out objects at a distance matures to the point of recognizing people and effects across the room. He or she can follow them as they shift. Cognitive skills begin emerging evidently now. He or she may clearly respond to a personal name. Replication turns to response as he or she repeats back sounds that will later become words. Those sounds start to get strung together into what will, before you know it, be short sentences. The First Year Not later than the end of the first year those stumbles and babbles have turn out to be walking and talking. The baby can now make short trips across the room, from chair to table. He or she can say a few simple words, including that all-important 'Momma' and 'Dada'. Cognitive skills begin to mature into value choice as the child displays a first choice for certain people and/or toys, not including others not desired.
